The United States is home to 63 stunning national parks. Here's a look at some of the most visited.
Major League Baseball has asked the Trump administration about hosting a baseball game at a national park, The Washington Post reports.
According to the report, The White House has responded to MLB’s request by scouting locations at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, which sits along the Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains.

In a statement released to The Post, The White House said MLB approached the administration to see "if it was possible to host a game at a national park, similar to the Field of Dreams game" held in Iowa each year.

"This is not a Presidential directive, nor is it being directed by the White House. It’s also not being driven by the Department of Interior," the statement said. "Therefore, this is not a White House or Administration priority."

The White House also said MLB has not made any decisions and the National Park Service has not given permission for any events.
"If the MLB wants to go on site visits of national parks, that is their prerogative," the statement continued.

Officials from the White House and MLB told The Post that National Park Service Deputy Director Frank Lands visited Grand Teton last week and looked at three potential sites inside the park.
The administration is also considering trading a piece of Yosemite National Park to a private developer in exchange for land of equal value, the report says.

Luther Propst, a county commissioner for Teton County, Wyoming, told The Post he met Lands on his visit and that he didn’t mention the issue. The federal government has not consulted the county, he said.

"Grand Teton National Park is about wild America, wildlife, opportunity for solitude, not for more amusement," Propst said.
By the numbers:
Grand Teton is the eighth most visited national park in the country, with anywhere from 3.5 million - 3.8 million visitors each year, according to the National Park Service.
