A Phoenix-area nonprofit is doing its part to help pets get free microchips and vaccines to keep them safe. Friends for Life hosted its annual free Microchip-A-Thon at its adoption center in Gilbert on May 14. The event was free for pet owners from across the Valley whose cat or dog needed a microchip. Also offered were free vaccines for dogs.
