ASU is playing a major role in searching for signs of water on the moon
The Artemis 1 mission spacecraft is carrying a lunar hydrogen polar mapper designed at ASU. It'll collect data by flying near the lunar surface to search for signs of water, or ice, on or below the surface. Finding water on the moon would be a big deal and could help sustain longer missions to the moon or trips to other planets, like Mars.
