Possible plea deal for Charles Ryan
In court on June 19, the former head of the Arizona Department of Corrections is scheduled to appear in what could be a plea deal stemming from his arrest last year. Charles Ryan was arrested at his Tempe home when officers responded to a call of a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to court documents, Ryan's wife said he had been drinking and fired a gun in the bathroom. Ryan also reportedly pointed a gun at officers but didn't fire.
