Libya flooding death toll expected to soar
A massive rescue and recovery operation continues in Libya. It comes nearly a week after the collapse of two dams led to devastating flash floods. At least 4,000 bodies have been recovered, but the death toll is believed to be more than 11,000. This was a natural disaster that appears to have been compounded by poor governance. An investigation into the collapse of the dams has been slow due to the country having no centralized leadership.
