Man sentenced after shooting woman in Snowflake
A young man learned his punishment for shooting a woman in the face during a burglary in Navajo County's town of Snowflake. A judge sentenced 19-year-old Joel Omari Hernandez to 15 years in prison for attempted second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and other crimes. Last December, a woman named Anne was asleep in her parents? home in Snowflake when Hernandez was standing above her with a gun. She says he opened fire while trying to rape her.
