Rep Gallego urges feds to not monitor Phoenix PD
A day after receiving an endorsement from the Arizona Police Association, Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego has sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice, urging the feds to not monitor the Phoenix Police Department under a consent decree. Rep. Gallego, who is running for Senate, said the Justice Department 'could impose overly burdensome costs,' while saying that unintended consequences would undermine the safety of the community.
