Former pilot explains combat ejections after rescue of downed U.S. airman
An American airman who ejected from a downed military jet was rescued by U.S. forces after 24 hours behind enemy lines. President Trump announced the successful rescue on Truth Social saying in part, “We got him!” This comes after a second pilot in the crash was rescued earlier in the weekend, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
