Iran latest: Rubio arrives in Abu Dhabi as US pushes regional diplomacy after Iran peace agreement

Vice President JD Vance painted an optimistic picture of the progress of negotiations between the United States and Iran that kicked off Sunday in Switzerland and are designed to sort out the technical details of the peace agreement between the two nations. 

Vance, who led the U.S. delegation when talks began, said on Monday that the negotiators on both sides have a "good foundation for a successful final deal."
