Pedestrian killed on State Route 347 near Maricopa

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car early Tuesday morning on State Route 347 south of the Valley.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the pedestrian was walking across the road just after 4 a.m. on July 21 when he was hit in the northbound lanes at milepost 187. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
