5 year-old buys lunch for his local police department
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ - Meet 5 year-old Bubba. He wanted to do something good, so he bought lunch for the entire Winslow police department. What was the occasion? "Kindness day."
Bubba celebrated in a big way. He'd worked hard to save his allowance from doing chores. He explained, "I helped Mommy feed the ducks. And the chickens."
Bubba already knows that he'd like to become a police officer one day. He's an incredible kid, wanting to do something so thoughtful for his heroes. The whole department dug in, hungry and impressed. They wanted to show kindness in return, so they gave him a tour, a real badge, and a very special ride home.
Bubba's mom said, "I am so over the moon proud. I am fighting tears. I'm so excited for him."
But Bubba's not done spreading the love. Next up, he's bringing school supplies to needy children and toys and food for animals at a local shelter. Bubba is an inspiration, and makes us want to celebrate "Kindness Days" of our own, every chance we get.
