SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced plans to build its first non-gaming hotel in the U.S. in Scottsdale.

Caesars Republic Scottsdale will be a four-star hotel located next to Fashion Square at the intersection of north Goldwater and east Highland Ave. Construction is set to begin in the second half of 2019.

The modern, glass 11 story hotel will have 266 rooms complete with the only rooftop pool with an unobstructed view of Camelback Mountain in the city, bars, restaurants, a coffee shop, fitness center, and more.

"Caesars Republic Scottsdale represents the introduction of a new world-class brand and further progress on our strategy to expand our non-gaming business into premier destinations," said Caesars Entertainment President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Frissora. "This project will be our first non-gaming asset in the United States and demonstrates the global strength of the Caesars brand. We look forward to partnering with HCW Development and Aimbridge Hospitality to create a world-class experience in one of the nation's most desirable communities."

The hotel will offer a variety of rooms, suites, common areas, meeting rooms, and event spaces, including a 7,000-square foot ballroom.
