Carl's Jr. to sell CBD-infused burger on 4/20

Fast food chain Carl's Jr. announced Wednesday it will launch its first ever CBD-infused burger on Apr. 20.

The Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight will be sold at the Denver location only, the chain announced via social media.

"4/20 only: We're dropping our Rocky Mountain High Cheese Burger Delight with CBD-infused Sante Fe sauce at one Denver location only. #rockymountainhigh"

4/20 has been marked as a day to celebrate marijuana by weed enthusiasts across the country.

There is a possibility the chain may one day roll out CBD-infused burgers across country, reported Business Insider.

"If anyone is going to do it, I would want Carl's Jr. to do it," said Patty Trevino, Carl's Jr.'s senior vice president of brand marketing.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants. The non-intoxicating extract cannot get you high.
