Family remembers young girl who drowned at Phoenix home

On Tuesday, the family of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who drowned spoke out about what happened.

The incident happened on Sunday, at a home near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The girl has been identified as Vivica Camacho. Police are investigating, but so far, there are few details so far.

Erin Alonzo and Rochelle Suchta are Vivica's great aunts.

"Vivica was a very special girl," Alonzo. "Very spunky, big personality, always happy, and she was the type of little girl who really lit up a room and brought everyone's spirits up when she was around. She was full of life, she was just a very special girl."

"She put a light in everybody's eye," said Suchta. "She made a difference in our life."

Vivica, however, is now gone, and that has left a hole in this family that will never be filled.

"I feel like it is a cliche but watch your kids," said Alonzo. "Could happen to any kid, any person ,in any depth of water. In any depth of water."
