FBI: 3 arrested for 23 alleged armed robberies in the Valley

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced three people have been arrested in connection with more than 20 armed robberies in the Valley.

FBI officials say a joint investigation with Phoenix and Tempe police led officers to arrest brothers Donovan Bergen, 33, and Lementino Bergen, 29, on January 15. They are believed to have robbed two businesses that night.

Officers also arrested Ricky Alvarez, 39, on January 16, after further investigation.

The FBI says the three are suspected of conspiring to commit at least 23 armed robberies of cell phone stores and restaurants from December 7, 2018 to January 15, 2019. No details have been provided on where the incidents took place.

In each incident, officials say the suspects were armed with a handgun or revolver, demanded money from the register, and took cell phones and wireless headphones.

The investigation is ongoing.
