Husband of woman killed at home speaks out

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- The husband of a Phoenix grandmother found murdered in her own home is speaking out about the woman accused of the killing.

67-year-old Priscilla LeFevre touched the lives of so many people, both here and across the world. Her husband of nearly 50 years said Priscilla would open herself up to help and heal others, and the woman accused of this senseless murder was someone Priscilla had been counseling, trying to guide through a difficult time.

Priscilla dedicated her life to her family, her missionary work, and to helping others. She and her husband started a non profit group called "Light The Globe", and they traveled to the poorest villages in Uganda, establishing a church and small school.

"She was the fundraiser. She was a preacher. She was the teacher with Light The Globe. She did numerous numerous hours of counseling people to help them with their troubles," said Jerry LeFevre, Priscilla's husband.

Anna Collum, 54, is Priscilla's accused killer.

"This Anna had been married to a Satanist and got involved in that. Priscilla was trying to help her get out of that," said Jerry. "Her husband said she couldn't see Priscilla anymore, so for months, we hadn't heard from her at all."

Two weeks ago, Jerry says Collum came to their apartment while Priscilla wasn't home. The next week, Jerry would come home from a doctor appointment to find his wife dead, laying in a pool of blood.

Anna was gone, but detectives found and arrested her in Tucson three days later.

"Here was somebody trying to restore their life, they came back and did this," said Jerry. "I mean, I'll pray for the lady. This does give us some closure that she was caught, but it doesn't bring Priscilla back."

Collum is expected to be extradited to Phoenix soon to face a murder charge.
