Glendale Police officials say crews are at the scene of a head-on collision that resulted in the death of a man Thursday night.
PHOENIX - Glendale Police officials say they are investigating a deadly crash that happened on the night of Feb. 6.
What we know:
Per a statement, the head-on crash happened in the area of 45th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, and it involved two vehicles.
According to investigators, a young person believed to be in his 20s was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Everyone involved remained at the scene, according to the statement.
What they're saying:
"Preliminary crash information dictates the eastbound car, where the deceased was in, lost control and drove into westbound traffic, resulting in the head on collision," read a portion of Glendale Police's statement.
What we don't know:
Police did not identify the man who died in the crash. They say they need to notify the man's family before they can release his identity.
Also, police said in an earlier statement that factors leading up to the crash are unknown at this time.
