The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said that a recall has been issued for 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen meatballs sold at Aldi because of potential metal fragment contamination.
Agency officials announced in a Feb. 22 recall letter that Rosina Food Products, Inc., pulled these products after the FSIS received a consumer complaint that metal fragments were found within the items. To date, there have been no reports of injury from the consumption of the frozen meatballs.
