Mesa offering free sand and bags in preparation fo flash flooding

MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - With the flash flood watch in the valley lasting through Tuesday, Mesa fire is stepping up to help everyone prepare for the incoming storms.

The fire department is offering free sand and bags for Mesa residents at all five of their fire houses in the city.

If you plan on stopping by at one of the locations for sand, don't forget to bring your own shovel.

The City of Tempe is also offering up free sand and bags at the corner of Priest and Guadalupe.
