The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said F-16 fighter jets intercepted general aviation aircraft near Bedminster, New Jersey, on Sunday after they reportedly entered temporarily restricted airspace.

The 1st Air Force’s Air Forces Northern later clarified that two aircraft were involved in the incident.

NORAD aircraft safely escorted the general aviation planes out of the restricted area, according to officials.

Temporary flight restrictions were in effect over Bedminster, where President Trump was expected to spend time at his golf club.
