PD: 1 injured in shooting near 35th Ave. and Fillmore St.

Phoenix Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person on Saturday afternoon.

At 12:15 p.m., officers arrived at the scene near 35th Avenue and Fillmore Street, where they found an adult male victim with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim "reported that two unknown males had confronted him and demanded his cell phone and wallet. The victim told that suspects that he did not have any of those items and that is when one of the suspect(s) shot him," stated Sgt. Mercedes Fortune.

The suspects fled the area with the victim's duffle bag.

Fortune says the victim could not provide a viable suspect description. "A search of the area was conducted and unfortunately, the suspects were not located."

The investigation is ongoing.
