Police: 5 injured in officer-involved crash in Phoenix

Police say five people were injured in an officer-involved crash in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say five people, including two children and a police officer, were injured in the crash that happened Tuesday night near 32nd Street and Oak

Firefighters say a 10-year-old boy was thrown at least 10 feet from a vehicle during the crash and a 13-year-old girl and woman had to be rescued after getting trapped inside their vehicle.

Police say the officer suffered minor injuries and none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

The roadway was reopened early Wednesday morning.
