Police: Mother, boyfriend arrested after 4-year-old boy found wandering alone
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say two people were arrested after a 4-year-old boy was found wandering alone in Prescott Valley.
The Prescott Valley Police Department says the boy was found walking along on April 21 along West Yavapai Road and when he was contacted by police, he told officers he was walking to his grandmother's house, but he didn't know where it was.
The boy gave police his mother's maiden name and through a record check, officers were able to find the boy's grandmother, who then told police where the boy's mother lived.
When police found the boy's mother, she said her and her boyfriend were sleeping and did not know the boy left the house.
The boy's mother, Megan Roe, and her boyfriend, Robert Hanson, were arrested on child neglect and child abuse charges. Both were booked into Yavapai County Prescott Jail.
