Police search for suspect involved in shooting at bus stop on ASU downtown Phoenix campus

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Phoenix Police are searching for the suspect accused of shooting a man at a bus stop on the ASU downtown Phoenix campus Friday night.

Officers responded to the area of Westward Ho and North Central Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and found a man with a gun shot wound to his lower body.

Investigators say the victim and unknown suspect got into a verbal altercation at the bus stop when the suspect fired a handgun and then left the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

ASU Police put out a crime alert describing the suspect as a black male, 20 to 25-years-old, wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.
