Police seek answers in the murder of elderly man

CHANDLER, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police will be canvassing the streets this morning to seek information in the brutal murder of an elderly man at an LA Fitness parking lot last week.

On August 18th, police say 84-year-old Shivaswamy Hosakote was sitting in his vehicle at the LA Fitness parking lot near Dobson and Warner in Chandler when he was stabbed. Hosakote was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Investigators say Hosakote was a regular customer at the LA Fitness and have no leads in the case and will be canvassing nearby businesses and neighborhoods to solicit information from the public in the case.
