Resident shoots, kills home intruder in Phoenix. Released by police after questioning
PHOENIX - A man was shot and killed after a home invasion on Friday, Jan. 24 in the West Valley near 107th Avenue and Indian School.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police briefly detained the resident of the Phoenix home.
He told police the man broke into his house, so he opened fire.
After questioning, the shooter was let go.
We spoke with a neighbor who said the incident was quite a surprise. He asked us to hide his face.
"It's not a common thing since I've been around here. I've never heard of any other incidents. This is the first one. It's alarming," he said.
