Scottsdale hiking trails closed due to elevated moisture levels

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Several hiking trails in Scottsdale remain closed after last week's winter weather due to elevated moisture levels.

The areas closed are located in the north area of Scottsdale's McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

City officials say the trails and trailheads will stay closed for one more day so they can dry out and will reopen Tuesday morning. Tom's Thumb Trailhead and its trails may need to remain closed longer.
