Scottsdale Police: Woman dead following pedestrian crash

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Scottsdale police officials say an 88-year-old woman is dead, following a pedestrian crash Wednesday night.

According to officials, the incident happened along the 1900 block of N. Scottsdale Road at around 6:30 p.m., when Scottsdale resident Jung Son Kim was crossing the street and was struck by a car heading south on Scottsdale Road. Kim was taken to an area hospital, where she was declared dead.

The driver, according to officials, remained at the scene.

Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash and no charges are anticipated to be filed against the driver.
