Suspect accused of assaulting Walgreens clerk

Police are looking for a suspect who stole cigarettes from a Valley Walgreens, punched the clerk and ran off.

Officers say the assault and theft happened at a Walgreen's near 67th Avenue and Thomas at 6pm on Thursday, April 21st. They say two suspects walked into the store and stole several cartons of cigarettes. The first suspect then reportedly began to punch the clerk before the suspects took off.

The first suspect, who is accused of assaulting the clerk, is described as a Hispanic man, about five feet seven inches tall, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black t-shirt with an image on the front, tan shorts, white shoes with black shoelaces, and was carrying a red backpack.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man, five feet six inches tall, 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie with "Hilfiger" printed on front, tan shorts and white shoes.
