Trump attends dignified transfer for 6 U.S. soldiers
President Trump attended the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base for the six U.S. soldiers killed in a drone strike in the Middle East.
An American soldier died in a military training accident in Iraq over the weekend, officials in the United States confirmed on Monday.
A British solider also died during the training.

What they're saying:
"On May 31, a U.S. Army soldier died during a military training accident at Erbil Air Base in Iraq," the U.S. Army said in a post on X. "The training was conducted with our British Army partners who also lost a solider.
The Army said the incident is under investigation.
"The identity of the deceased U.S. service member is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification," the Army continued.

They did not release any additional details about the incident.

In January, U.S. troops were pulled out of Ain al-Asad Airbase in Iraq, as part of an ongoing effort to consolidate troops in the region. This excluded the Kurdish region where U.S. troops remain.

The deaths occurred only one month after two American soldiers died during an off-duty hike in Morocco. They were reported missing May 2 after participating in African Lion, an annual multinational military exercise hosted across Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana and Senegal.
