Valley animal shelter in need of fosters during renovations
TEMPE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Lost Our Home Pet Rescue in Tempe is renovating their shelter next month, and they need people to foster animals.
"All of the pets we have here need to go into foster before then and also all of the pets that we take into the summer will need to go directly into foster care," said Sandra Rutan with Lost Our Home Pet Rescue.
Since the shelter is undergoing renovation, housing nearly 100 cats and dogs, now these animals need a short or long-term foster.
"Right now we're looking for some special fosters for sick cats or only dog homes, those are our really big needs right now, otherwise we really do need everything," said Rutan.
The renovations will add a new medical room, which will help to improve safety and sanitation so the shelter could house more animals.
The no-kill shelter will cover the cost of supplies and medical needs including kennels, food. and bottles.
"We supply everything to you, we pay for the pets food, supplies, medical care, all that we're asking is that you give them a loving place to stay," says Rutan.
