Valley man relocates unwanted bees, uses honey to make sweet products

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Spring is just around the corner, which means we'll be seeing more bees buzzing around. One Phoenix man has made it his career to care for unwanted bees, and in return, he is creating some amazing products.

Dan Punch works hard.

"We relocate honey bee hives out of houses and businesses throughout the Valley," said Dan Punch, owner of Punch Honey Bee Company.

Dan started Punch Honey Bee Company back in 2011, removing bees and relocating them. Instead of destroying them, he puts them to work, using the honey to create all sorts of sweet treats and bee wax products that he sells at his store near Osborn and 24th St.

"If we don't have bees, we don't have us," says Punch.

He loves spreading his knowledge of bees to others and the important role they play in all our lives.

"Every fifth bite of food we take is directly the result of bee pollination, so it's vital to our existence to have bees," explained Punch.

He's happy to have a business that's mutually beneficial for both the bees and those looking to get rid of those bees.
