Valley teacher arrested for stalking student
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A valley teacher is under arrest after he's accused of stalking one of his 15-year-old students.
Police arrested 36-year-old Michael Sporrer just before noon on Saturday February 6.
Sporrer is the band director at a valley high school. Police say the student's parents found several inappropriate text messages that the teacher sent the teenager.
The teen told police she was being harassed by Sporrer, and that, over a period of time, he had been continuously sending her text messages expressing his desire for her. She also told police he touched her in way that made her feel uncomfortable and threatened.
Police say Sporrer admitted that he had been sending the text message. He was booked on suspicion of stalking and aggravated assault.
