Vigil held in Phoenix for Orlando shooting victims

A vigil is planned on Sunday night in memory of the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando.

Mayor Greg Stanton organized the vigil, which is planned for 7 p.m. at the Phoenix Pride LGBT Center at 801 N. Second Avenue.

Members of different faith organizations and LGBT groups are expected to attend to pray for the victims.

Fifty people were killed and more than fifty injured after law enforcement says the suspect Omar Mateen opened fire at the gay nightclub called Pulse.

Stanton has organized the vigil in partnership with Equality Arizona, Phoenix Pride and local faith organizations.
