Woman found shot to death inside Phoenix trailer home

PHOENIX (AP) -- Police say a woman was found shot to death in a Phoenix trailer home and a suspect has not been found.

Sgt. Jonathan Howard says officers were called about an injured female shortly before 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of 22nd Street and McDowell Road.

Upon entering, the officers located a woman who had a gunshot wound.

She was rushed to a hospital where she later died.

The woman, who appears to be in her 20s, has not been identified.

Police say she may be known in the area as a transient.

Howard says there is no credible information about a possible suspect at this point in the investigation.
