Nearly 40 million Gen Zers will be eligible to vote in November, and experts are predicting the diverse and politically active generation will have a major impact on the election. FOX 10's Ashlie Rodriguez has more on this story.

Former President Trump campaigning in Arizona

Former President Donald Trump will visit Arizona for the first time since his assassination attempt and since Vice President Kamala Harris became his presidential opponent. Trump will first visit the southern border and speak on immigration in Cochise County on Thursday. On Friday, Trump will hold a rally at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, the same venue where Harris held a rally two weeks ago.

Make Elections Fair Act to appear on Nov. ballot

In November, voters in Arizona will get to decide if the state should have open primary elections. If approved, the Make Elections Fair Act, now also known as Proposition 140, will amend the Arizona Constitution to create a primary system where all candidates for federal, state, and local offices would face off in a single primary race.

AZ CD3 Democratic race recount to begin

More than two weeks after voters in Arizona decided in the 2024 primary election, a race too close to call will go through a mandatory recount. Starting Aug. 15, election workers will once again tabulate the ballots for the Democratic contest in Congressional District 3. An informational pamphlet for voters who will decide whether to guarantee the constitutional right to an abortion can refer to a fetus as an "unborn human being," the Arizona Supreme Court ruled Wednesday.

Arizona?s most populous county, Maricopa County, certified its primary election results Monday, setting in motion a recount for the Democratic nomination in an open congressional district where 42 votes separate the top contenders.

Former Gov. Ducey endorses Lake: A look at their history

Former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has officially endorsed Republican Kari Lake for the U.S. Senate. Lake is running against Democrat Ruben Gallego. Ducey and Lake publicly feuded during the 2022 governor's race when he backed her opponent in the Republican primary. At the time, Lake called him a doormat for the cartel. He also announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump in 2024 presidential race. Ducey said in a statement he's voting Republican because "too much is on the line."

Arizona counties certify primary election results

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has certified the results of the primary election last month. More than 30% of eligible voters cast ballots. Supervisors also certified election results in Pinal County, but not before supervisor Kevin Cavanaugh disputed the voting patterns in the race for sheriff that he lost, along with other races in the county. He filed a complaint with the attorney general's office.

'Republican Women for Ruben' say why they're backing a Democrat

A group of Republicans is backing a Democrat for Arizona's Senate seat. The group is called Republican Women for Ruben, and is made up of elected officials, industry experts, business owners and community leaders. Rep. Ruben Gallego is running against Republican Kari Lake for the seat currently held by independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema. The group opposes Lake's plan to ban abortion without exceptions for rape or incest. They call her a threat to women who can't be trusted.
