Priest resigns after performing thousands of invalid baptisms: Diocese of Phoenix
The Phoenix Diocese confirmed that Father Andres Arango used incorrect working in all baptisms prior to June 17, 2021, resulting in thousands of baptisms being invalidated. Arango was a pastor at the Saint Gregory Parish in Phoenix since 2017 and part of the Diocese of Phoenix since 2005. The diocese says anyone affected can schedule a new baptism.
