Driver swerves to avoid pedestrian, crashes into palm tree in Glendale
Police say the driver was near 59th and Missouri Avenues in Glendale when they swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian but instead crashed into a palm tree. The driver was taken to hospital but is expected to survive. Speed and impairment were not believed to have been factors in the crash.
