Police search for suspect accused of trying to run down motorcycle officer

Police are searching for a suspect who's accused of trying to run down a Phoenix police motorcycle officer with a car. Police say the officer was doing traffic enforcement near Seventh Street and Roeser when he tried to pull over a speeding car. The driver drove into a dirt lot, made a U-turn, and drove towards the officer. The officer put his bike down to avoid being hit. Police say the car was found abandoned. The officer was not hurt.
