Arizona firefighter dies from complications of COVID-19

The Verde Valley Fire District said one of its firefighters has died from complications of COVID-19.

The department said Tyrone Bell, a four-year veteran of the department, died Monday.

"Tyrone was a dedicated public servant who began his career working for Verde Valley Ambulance Company and was a Reserve Firefighter for the Clarkdale and Verde Valley Fire Districts before being hired full time at Verde Valley Fire in 2017," the department said in a statement on Oct. 18.
