Brush fire burns half an acre on South Mountain in Phoenix

Phoenix Fire extinguished a brush fire on South Mountain that burned for several hours on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The northeast face of the mountain was seen on fire, which could be seen lighting the mountainside orange in the night sky.

What they're saying:

Phoenix FD credited the Phoenix Police Department's Firebird helicopter for directing firefighters to help put out the flames.

No injuries were reported in the fire that burned about half an acre.
