A woman who was overheated was helped off South Mountain on Monday, and in Gold Canyon, deputies rescued three overheated hikers from Peralta Trail.

Family rescued from Phoenix hiking trail despite its closure

Five adults and six kids were rescued from a South Mountain hiking trail on Sunday around noon. The Phoenix Fire Department says the trail was closed due to extreme heat, but they decided to hike anyway. FOX 10's Kenzie Beach has this story.

Phoenix PD releases victim's name in deadly shooting

Police released new details about a triple shooting in south Phoenix on Aug. 24. Police say 30-year-old Jeremy Carra was killed. The shooting happened early Saturday morning near 19th Avenue and Dobbins Road. Officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. A man and woman are expected to survive.
