Casa Grande Police investigating sexual assault incident

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Officials with Casa Grande Police Department said Thursday they are investigating a report of a sexual assault that allegedly took place at a hotel.

According to the statement, the incident reportedly took place early Thursday morning, at a hotel on the 660 block of North Via del Cielo Road. The alleged victim, identified as a 35-year-old female, reported an unknown male entered her hotel room, and sexually assaulted her.

The alleged victim, according to the statement, did not recognize the man, and she was able to call police after he left the room. The suspect was described by Casa Grande Police as a Hispanic male, in his early to mid 30s, about 5'5" to 5'11" tall with a thin build, with black hair and a black mustache. The suspect reportedly was wearing a blue button down work shirt, a white undershirt, and dark jeans, and was described as having a deep voice.
