Cats found with blow darts pierced into the heads; search for suspect underway

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Police officials say they are searching for the suspect or suspects involved in incidents of animal abuse over the course of October.

According to a brief statement, between October 2 and October 16, three young cats were found with hand-made blow darts pierced into their heads, causing serious physical injuries. The cats were found along the 3200 block of E. Pinchot Avenue, which is near the intersection of Thomas Road and 32nd Street.

In addition, police officials say numerous homemade blow darts were found in an area where a large feral cat colony is located.
