PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Following Pope Francis' address to seminarians and bishops Sunday morning, his next stop will feature different audience.
At 11:00 a.m. Pope Francis will head to the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility to meet with 100 inmates, their families, and prison staff.
25 female inmates and 75 male inmates are expected to meet The Holy Father during his visit to the facility.
This event will be closed to the public, as the entire complex will go on lockdown while the Pope is present.
Despite the Pope's visit, prison authorities and staff will need to assure there are no disruptions to the daily routine, which includes serving 25,000 meals, and conducting a prisoner count 3-5 times a day.
Pope Francis is not expected to tour the facilities aside from meeting with the selected number of prisoners.
