Distracted driving ordinance goes into effect in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Glendale is cracking down on distracted drivers, as a new ordinance went into effect in the West Valley city on Thursday.

The new ordinance prohibits using handheld devices while driving. The city council passed the ban on the use of handheld electric devices while driving last month, and first-time offenders will be fined $250.
