Fatal crash closes a portion of southbound I-17 near Bethany Home Road

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A serious accident has closed off parts of the southbound lanes on I-17, in between Glendale Avenue and Bethany Home Road Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the accident happened near Bethany Home Road, and one adult woman is confirmed dead. Five pediatric patients are receiving treatments, according to Phoenix Fire officials.
