Fire: Phoenix man pulled out of the water, taken to hospital in critical condition

Phoenix Fire officials say an investigation is underway, after fire crews responded to a water-related incident involving a 60-year-old man late Monday afternoon.

Phoenix Police officials say the incident happened near Thunderbird Road and 43rd Avenue. According to Cpt. Kenny Overton with Phoenix Fire, Phoenix Police will take part in the investigation.

Later in the evening, an 80-year-old woman was pulled from a pool and she is in critical condition, the Phoenix Fire Department says. The incidents are unrelated.

In another Monday incident, a 50-year-old man died after being pulled from a pool.
