Gilbert Police asking for public help in identifying suspect who assaulted a woman

GILBERT, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Gilbert Police officials are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect accused of threatening and assaulting a woman in December 2018.

According to a statement, the incident happened at around 6:08 p.m.. on December 26, in the area of N. Park Village Drive and E. Guadalupe Road. The suspect approached the woman on foot and asked for her phone. When the woman refused and started to back away, the suspect threatened her, grabbed her by the back of her hair, and then dragged her toward some utility power boxes. The victim, however, was able to break free and run away.

The suspect is described by Gilbert Police as a White or light-skinned Hispanic male, 5'10" tall, weighing 130lbs, with a short trimmed beard. He was wearing baggy clothes, black beanie, black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
