Massive Scottsdale home seriously damaged by fire

A massive fire in North Scottsdale reduced a multi-million dollar mansion to rubble Tuesday. Fortunately, no one was home at the time.

The fire reportedly broke out in the middle of the night, at a home that was 6,400 square feet in size. It was totally in flames when firefighters arrived. The owner of the home arrived to see the ruins firsthand later on in the day, but declined an interview.

The firefighters' quick work contained the damage to just the home, but video taken by SkyFOX showed extensive damage to the home.

This fire so fierce and intense, neighbors could literally feel the heat.

"You could feel the heat upstairs," said Diane Cala. "It was unbelievable. That was scary. That was scary."

The family who owns the home also has a home in Illinois, and were not in Phoenix at the time of the fire. Scottsdale fire investigating the cause of this fire.
